Of course not in America. I mean I have heard of countless people spreading the idea of one, yet nobody really did anything.

Here in America people almost worship their automobiles. But I am glad to know at least other countries are trying. Hmm, I wonder if America could learn a thing or two from them?

Comments as always, are welcomed.

I don't think many Americans can even fathom life without cars, they
take it for granted.

Many Americans can't live without cars. There is no public transportation, or it's not reliable. The jobs are in the city, where families are unwelcome or it is too expensive.

In SC, our neighborhood did not have any sidewalks, and it was 5 miles from the elementary school! There was no way to get to dr., the store, and there was no downtown district, really, just everything spread out (sprawl).

Modern cities aren't made for walking.

I don't think a boycott gas stations day (the only idea I've seen floated in America) would work, because everyone would get gas wither the day before, or the day after - and the receipts for the week would still average out the same.

My current neighborhood is 49/100! Except there aren't any sidewalks on the street going to church which is only half a mile away.
